Coast Guard maintains safety zone on the Red River

ST LOUIS - The Coast Guard continues to maintain a safety zone on the Red River from Cass and Wilkin counties to Pembina and Kittson counties.

All vessel traffic, including canoes, is restricted from transitting the Red River, except for search and rescue and law enforcement vessels due to safety concerns and flooding.

This safety zone has been in effect since 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009.
